Joint Research

Duration: 1–3 years (renewable)

Universities, companies, and research institutions collaborate on equal footing around shared research themes. This model aims for mutually beneficial outcomes including joint publications, shared intellectual property, and co-funded research.

Commissioned Research

Duration: Flexible, depending on the project

Kinoshita Lab conducts research on specific topics commissioned by companies or institutions, leveraging our glycoinformatics expertise and infrastructure. Services include glycan analysis, database construction, and bioinformatics analysis.

  2. Response Timeline: We aim to provide initial feedback within 2-3 weeks of submission. Detailed project planning may require additional time.
  3. Confidentiality: All information submitted through this form will be treated confidentially and used solely for collaboration assessment purposes.
  4. Non-Disclosure Agreements: If your proposal involves sensitive proprietary information, we can arrange for mutual NDA signing before detailed discussions.
  5. University Procedures: Formal collaborations require approval from Soka University administration and compliance with institutional policies.
  6. Intellectual Property: IP arrangements will be negotiated on a project-specific basis, balancing academic freedom with commercial considerations.
  7. Funding Expectations: For joint research, we strongly encourage applications for external competitive funding to support project costs.
